Approximately 90 percent of the watershed is private land.  Public land in the Long Tom Watershed is with the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service and the State of Oregon.  There are no Forest Service lands with-in the watershed.

Elevation Range: 1,131 feet at the headwaters to 256 ft. at the mouth. 

Length: 57 miles

Basin size: 410 sq miles.  The entire Willamette River drainage basin  is 11,478 sq miles.  
This is approximately 3.6% of the Willamette River watershed.

Discharge water volume: Smallest major tributary to the Willamette River based on water volume out of the 11 major tributaries.
